Why is Ron Paul considered a kook? Why is this particular "kook" currently polling so well against Obama?

the old guard republican types are the ones that call him a kook. its because they are not really conservative at all and would try to discredit him. he is honestly the most principled politician i have seen and really supports personal liberty and responsibility. and the retard who says hes against gay marriage and separation of church and state obviously knows nothing about the man and should keep their obtuse opinions to themselves.
