I have something to ask about a surfboard?

Does anybody know why the channel islands flyer is such a popular board? I am not asking if this is a good surfboard for me, but can it ride in small mushy waves, beach break and bad conditions. I know i sound like a kook asking this online but im just wondering because I read a lot of reviews that say it is good in small waves, but not what type of small wave. Thank you
